Woman Charged With Creating A Disturbance At A Westport Bank

WESTPORT, Conn. — A 37-year-old Winsted woman was arrested on a public disturbance charge after police said she swore at employees in a Westport bank, then tried to kick an officer who was trying to arrest her, police said.

Sarah Woozley was held on $500 bond on a charge of creating a public disturbance in the April 26 incident, police said. She's due back in court Wednesday in Norwalk, police said.

Police said they were called at 5:30 p.m. to a Chase Bank branch on a report of a woman causing a disturbance. Bank officials told police that she swore at them and refused to leave when asked, police said.

When police put her in handcuffs, she tried to pull away and kicked at officers, police said.
