Westport Woman Charged With Impaired Driving In 2015 Crash

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 31-year-old Westport woman is facing impaired driving charges after police got results of a toxicology report from her September 2015 one-car crash with a parked car along Riverside Avenue in Westport, police said.

Jennifer Edvardsen was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving with a suspended license, police said. She's being held on $10,000 bond and due back in court May 5.

Police submitted a search warrant for the toxicology report that showed amphetamines and benzodiazepines in her system, police said. At the time of the crash, police noticed she was disoriented, as well as sweating profusely and had slurred speech, police said.
