The arrest came about when officers responded to a Saugatuck Avenue home on a report of a disturbance Thursday about 6 p.m., police report.
Officers determined that the suspect, identified as Ricardo Rivera, had assaulted two females in the home, then fled the scene, police said.
Rivera had an argument with the victims during the incident, and struck both of them in the face, police said.
Officers located Rivera walking toward the train station, and took him into custody, police said.
The defendant was held on $500 bond, with a court date scheduled Friday, police report.
