Westport Students Busted Snorting Cocaine In Staples Bathroom

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Two students were caught using cocaine in the bathroom at Staples High School this week and one was arrested for selling it, according to Westport police.

Westport officers responded to Staples High School at around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on a report that two students were using drugs in the bathroom, police said.

Officers interviewed Cameron Cleary, 18,  who admitted to selling cocaine to a juvenile student and then snorting it with the juvenile in the bathroom, police said.

Cleary was taken into custody and charged with Possession Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession near School and Sale of a Controlled Substance, police said.

According to police, the substance that was suspected to be cocaine was seized and tested positive for cocaine. 

Cleary was released after posting the $1,000 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on Feb. 16, according to police.
