Weston Woman, 41, Arrested On Heroin Charges In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police who were tracking a man they suspected would be involved in a heroin sale sprang a trap, nabbing him and a female accomplice.

Timothy Marriner, 51, of 5 Frances Ave., was arrested on multiple drug charges and held on $250,000 bond. 

Rachel Johnson, 41, of 10 Steep Hill Road, Weston, was also arrested on multiple drug charges and released on a promise to appear in court.

At about 3 p.m. Thursday, police stopped a vehicle and Marriner, a passenger, jumped out and tried to run, police said. He was quickly brought down by members of the Special Services Division, police said. 

Johnson, the driver, was arrested at the scene, police said.

Officers found 24 folds of heroin in Marriner's possession and one fold of heroin on Johnson, police said. 

According to the state's judicial website, Marriner received a five-year sentence in 2012 for possession with intent to sell along with special parole for five years.

In Thursday's arrest, Marriner was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, and interfering with an officer. 

Johnson was charged with conspiracy to possess narcotics, conspiracy to possess narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, and conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.

Both will appear in court on March 10.
