Police have been investigating a series of car break-ins after a resident saw two men going through a vehicle.

Westport police said following the resident's call, officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects, said Westport Lt. Jillian Cabana.

A total of two vehicles were broken into in the Saugatuck Shores area and one vehicle was stolen, she said.

A vehicle stolen out of Norwalk on Nov. 9,  was found dumped in the area.

The burglarized cars and the stolen car were all left unlocked with the keys inside, Cabana said.
