At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the Westport Fire Department responded go North Avenue and Cobb Drive along with Westport EMS and Westport Police, Assistant Chief Michael Kronick said.
Two SUVs collided in the intersection, injuring the driver of one of the vehicles with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Kronick said. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were not injured, he said.
North Avenue was closed for about one hour while the cars and debris were removed from the roadway, he said.
The Westport Fire Department responded with an engine, rescue and a command car with a total of seven firefighters and officers.
