WESTPORT, Conn. — A Norwalk man faces a narcotics charge after he was stopped for having tinted windows on his car, police said.
On Saturday, an officer noticed a car traveling on Post Road East with darkly tinted windows, but no required tint sticker, police said.
The driver, Mark Basler, 46, of Norden Place, appeared extremely nervous and the officer asked him to step out of the car, police said.
The officer learned Basler had methadone on his person, but did not have a prescription for the drug, police said.
He was charged with possession of narcotics.
Basler was released after posting a $500 bond, police said. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.
