Man Who Allegedly Stole Three Laptops From Apple Store Extradited To Greenwich

A fugitive who was wanted for stealing laptops from the Apple store in Greenwich is in police custody after being extradited from Staten Island back into the area.

Members of the Greenwich Police Department responded to the Richmond County Superior Court House in Staten Island on Tuesday, Oct. 16, to take Lawrence Browning, 37, into custody.

According to police, Browning allegedly stole three laptop computers from the Apple Store on Greenwich Avenue on Jan. 24 last year. An investigation was launched, which determined Browning was a suspect, and a warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued.

Following his extradition, Browning was charged with third-degree larceny. Following his arraignment, Browning was placed into a Greenwich Police Department holding cell in lieu of $25,000. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 30 to answer the charge.
