Update, 5 p.m.: The fire is now under control, and roads are re-opened to traffic, officials say. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
WESTON, Conn. – A home caught fire on Steep Hill Road in Weston on Thursday afternoon, according to official reports.
It does not appear that anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire, Weston Police say.
The fire is in a house near Davis Hill Road. Residents were advised to avoid driving in the area to allow emergency vehicles to get to the scene and work, officials said.
Davis Hill Road is closed at Valley Forge Road due to the blaze, according to the Weston Police Facebook page.
