Chase Bank In Westport Robbed Thursday Morning

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Chase Bank on Main Street in Westport was robbed Thursday morning by a man who claimed to have a weapon, according to police.

Police received a 911 call at around 11 a.m. reporting the robbery. Responding officers determined that a white man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. The man indicated that he had a weapon but did not display one, according to police.

An undetermined amount of money was taken and the suspect left on foot, heading south on Main Street, police said.
