Bridgeport residents Yadiel Martinez, 25, and Drimal Martinez, 28, were arrested by members of the Stratford Police Department on a warrant for their roles in the burglary spree in town. The pair is also suspected of being involved in a rash of burglaries that took place throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Police said that the investigation was started following the series of burglaries earlier this year.

Both brothers were charged with 13 counts of third-degree burglary, one count of criminal attempt at burglary, and three counts each of first-degree burglary and larceny. Each is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.

The investigation into the brothers’ activities is ongoing, and Stratford detectives are working with other local investigators in Fairfield County regarding other burglaries in the area.
