There were no apparent links between any terrorists groups and Necati Harsit of Rochester, N.Y., but the 54-year-old man was charged with six counts of stalking and six counts of breach of peace, according to the Post.
The incident began when a family of six called police to report they had been followed into Connecticut from the Bronx, according to the Post, which reported that the car continued to follow the family even when they pulled into the parking lot of a church off Route 8/24 Connector.
When police arrived, Harsit – citing his religious beliefs – refused to disclose the contents of the large jugs, according to the Post, which reported they were later found to contain water and cologne.
