Jevaughn Watson pleaded guilty Dec. 1 to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre M. Daly.

According to Daly’s office, Trumbull police and emergency medical personnel responded to a home last Aug. 18 to find a 25-year-old woman unresponsive on a bedroom floor. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators found several empty wax folds in the woman’s home as well as several wax folds containing heroin, according to Daly. Later, investigators found text messages on her telephone that spanned about two months in which the woman was ordering heroin from Watson. Watson was arrested Sept. 7.

Watson was also sentenced by U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny, in Hartford to three years of probation after his release from prison.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport Resident Office and New Haven Tactical Diversion Squad, and the Trumbull and Monroe police departments acting with assistance from Bridgeport police.
