FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Where can you snap up some cider, buy baby duds and take your pooch on a costumed stroll?
Why, the Fairfield Harvest Market, that’s where!
The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual market on Old Town Hall Green from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15.
More than 40 vendors will be on hand, peddling their wares to tunes by DJ Scott. Offerings will include maple syrup, aromatic coffees, furniture, bird-feeding supplies, jewelry and more.
Vendors include: Amellu, Beltane Farm, Cinder + Salt, Dot Dot Smile, Hot Spot Glass Studio, Little River Farm, Natural Pet Outlet, Oui Charcuterie, Riverside Baking Company, Stonehill Design, Wild Birds Unlimited and more.
In addition, there will be a Dog Costume Parade starting at 11 a.m. along the side of Old Town Hall facing Beach Road. Gift cards supplied by Natural Pet Outlet will be awarded for the most creative costumes.
The first 25 dogs in line get free Chamber of Commerce dog bandanas.
Only even-tempered dogs that get along with their canine colleagues will be accepted.
And what’s a market without a little nosh? Several food trucks will be on hand, including Wings Over Fairfield, Bella Sera, Italian Ices of Connecticut, Snappy Dawgs and Szabo’s Seafood.
