The program, co-sponsored with Catamount Wealth Management, is free and open to the public.

Women are expected to inherit two-thirds of the nation’s wealth by 2030, says Bennetts. Yet many avoid even opening bank statements — leaving financial planning and investing to the man of the household.

The consequence of avoidance is often fear, says Bennetts. When it comes to protecting your future and your family, there’s no substitute for personal responsibility, she says.

The program will address the question of why are so many women afraid and ambivalent about taking control of personal finances.

Westport-based Catamount Wealth Management is dedicated providing high-net-worth individuals, small business and institutions with investment solutions that create, build and preserve wealth.
