They will talk about Igor Sikorsky and the Sikorsky Co. — the Russian Years from 1889 to 1918, the early American years from 1919 to 1938, the helicopter period from 1939 to 1972 and conclude with an overview of Sikorsky in the current time.

Libertino has been associated with Sikorsky for 65 years. He joined the Air Force in 1951 as a helicopter mechanic, was discharged in 1954, joined Sikorsky in 1956 and retired in 1997. He has been president of the Sikorsky Historical Archives since 2004. During his 41-year tenure with Sikorsky, he was a technical representative, logistics manager and later general manager for Sikorsky Operations in Australia, Korea and Turkey.

Bulakowski had a 34-year career with Sikorsky Aircraft, from 1970 until his retirement in 2002, most of it in the program office. He is currently the vice president of the Archives.

The Sikorsky Archives was established as a 501(c)(3) in 1995. Its mission is to “acquire, manage, protect, and make accessible to qualified persons for research and educational purposes, historical documents and memorabilia associated with Igor I. Sikorsky, his life and his careers in aviation, and the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, as well as related predecessor companies.”
