WESTPORT, Conn. -- Stamford's Erica Evelti will play Helen Keller's mother in the Westport Community Theatre's production of "The Miracle Worker."

“We are excited to produce this family-oriented show during the holidays,” said director Richard Mancini. “Audiences will be inspired by this powerful story that tugs at one’s heartstrings.”

"The Miracle Worker" premiered on Broadway in 1959 and won the Tony Award for Best Play. William Gibson wrote the play.

The production runs on weekends through Dec. 13 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. A Thursday performance will be held Dec. 3 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $23 or $21 for students and seniors. To purchase tickets, visit westportcommunitytheatre.com .
