To find the perfect photo, the Chamber will be running a photo contest, according to organizers, who said that a similar contest in 2015 received more than 1,000 entries from dozens of local amateur and professional photographers.
“It was such a success, with so many participants and submissions, that we knew we were going to do it again,” said Matthew Mandell, the Chamber’s executive director. “It’s a great community activity. I can’t wait to see what we get this time.”
The winning photograph in 2015 came from Mark Litvinoff, who submitted a twilight photo of the Levitt Pavilion, according to organizers, who said that Litvinoff’s photo was used on the cover of the 68-page Guide while scores of other photographs were used as artwork on the inside.
This year’s contest is open to any resident or businessperson from Westport or Weston, according to organizers, who said that photographs ought to be submitted to Mandell through email at matthew@westportwestonchamber.com.
All email submissions should have “Photo Contest” as the subject line, organizers said, adding that the deadline for all submissions is March 1.
Anyone with questions about the contest or their submission should email Mandell or call the Chamber office at 203-227-9234.
