Business Leaders Discuss Challenges, Solutions At Darien Library Forum

DARIEN, Conn. -- Mark Rosenbloom of AVP First County Bank will moderate a business forum panel discussion at the Darien Library featuring three prominent business persons from Fairfield County.

“Business Solutions from Business Experts” will take place at 5:30 p.m. on June 11 in the Darien Library Community Room, 1441 Post Road.

Joining the panel are prominent business owners and consultants Sandy Nielsen Baumann, Scott Kuppersmith and Nate Checketts, who will discuss current business challenges and solutions.

Neilsen Baumann is the general manager of Nielsen’s Florist and Garden Shop, 1405 Boston Post Road, Darien. She is a former director of the Darien United Way and the Darien Chamber of Commerce. She has also served on both the Finance and the Quality and Clinical Affairs Committees at Stamford Hospital. Nielsen Baumann also sits on the Board of Directors of Connecticut Community Bank and is on the Program Committee for the Fund for Women and Girls.

Stamford-based Scott Kuppersmith is a partner in B2B CFOs and brings years’ experience in fields such as manufacturing, luxury retail, e-commerce, banking, restaurants and start-ups. He is also on the Board of Directors of Stamford Scholars for Dollars.

Nate Checketts is the CEO and co-founder at Rhone Apparel. In addition to Rhone Apparel, Checketts is a principal at Checketts Partners Investment Fund (CPIF), New York. Before Rhone, Nate consulted and worked for some of the biggest technology and entertainment properties in the world including Cisco, the National Football League, Legends and FanVision. He is also an avid entrepreneur, founding and launching four companies before the age of 30, including Mangia Technologies, where his patents were sold to the San Francisco 49ers. He currently serves on the boards of ScoreBig, Veritone and Rhone Apparel, and also serves as an advisory board member to 3D+me and SportRadar GmBh.

Attendees are asked to register in advance at darienctchamber.com. The evening begins with check-in at 5:30 followed by forums from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. The event is free to attend.
