Roy is a retired financial/marketing executive who lived in Westport for 30 years, and still has ties to the community despite living in Trumbull. He was a member of Westport's Board of Finance, he volunteers actively in Westport and Trumbull, is a substitute teacher and a volunteer ESL tutor. He began writing as a retiree, and now reports extensively on activities in both towns.
