WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport's Port Restaurant is officially open.
Owners Melissa and Sal Augeri recently celebrated with a ribbon cutting featuring First Selectman Jim Marpe and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Matthew Mandell.
The new eatery, located on the first floor of National Hall and named after the town's nickname, is all about being a family-friendly hangout with affordable food and a local flavor.
In keeping with the neighborhood, community approach -- a mission of the eatery -- Staples students have been hired as busboys.
The spot takes over where Vespa had been. It is located at 2A Post Rd. West, (203) 557-9057.
