Westport officials are working on a sublease for the shop, which already has stores in Bridgeport, Shelton and Stratford, to open on the east side of Westport's Saugatuck Train Station, Westport News says.
Westport's Board of Finance committee recently approved a five-year lease that would start with a monthly rent of $1,500 and rise to $1,689 per month for the last year of the lease term. Some officials worried about the success of the shop because it is similar to other shops at the station, Westport News reports.
But Police Chief Foti Koskinas said store officials are committed to growing the business, and are already working on an app to allow customers to order food in advance, Westport News says.
