The cafe opened last November, but is serving up coffee, tee, cold drinks and more at its indoor and outdoor seating areas this summer. The cafe also offers cakes, muffins, danishes, cookies, brownies, French toast, crepes, quiches, salads with grilled lemon chicken, soups, chicken cutlets, beet salad, salmon flat bread, tuna fish sandwiches, health juices, fruit smoothies and more

The cafe is located at 380 Main St. and is open seven days a week.

The owners, Marco Calle and Manfred Hirz envisioned the new cafe as an European style coffee shop. Hirz previously owned Patisserie Salzburg 20 years ago in the same location as Cafe Gruener. He was there about 10 years and then he opened a shop in Rye, and hired Marco Calle as the pastry chef. They worked diligently on a new concept which resulted in Cafe Gruener.
