Unseasonably Warm Temperatures, Rain To Continue This Week In Westport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Temperatures in Fairfield County are expected to remain unseasonably warm over the next couple days, with some rain also possible for this week.

Tuesday will be sunny, according to the National Weather Service, and while dewpoints will be noticeably lower than it's been, temperatures will once again be well above normal, with highs ranging from the mid-70s to around 80. Temperatures will dip a bit Tuesday night, which will be mostly clear with a low around 56.

Clouds will increase towards daybreak Wednesday, bringing with it a 40 percent chance of showers after noon. There will also be increasingly gusty east to northeast winds. Highs on Wednesday will range from the mid-60s to around 70, which is still several degrees above normal for this time of year. 

Wednesday night there will be a 50 percent chance of showers. Otherwise it will be cloudy, with a low around 49.

Temperatures will dip a little on Thursday, which is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 64. There will be some patchy drizzle on Friday night after 3 a.m. The rest of the night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.

The patchy drizzle will continue into Saturday morning, but the rest of the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 73. Sunday will see a 30 percent chance of showers, otherwise it will be partly sunny, with a high near 76.
