Friday is supposed to be sunny and cold, with a high around 41 and wind chill values between 25 and 35. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 28 and calm winds.
Snow is likely to hit the area during the day on Saturday, mainly after 2 p.m. There is the possibility that rain could be mixed in after 5 p.m. in the southern portion of the county. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. The high will be near 38, with wind chill values between 25 and 30.
Snow will continue into the night Saturday and into Sunday. The National Weather Service predicts that the southern and coastal areas of Fairfield County could receive 4 to 6 inches of snow, while the Danbury area could receive 3 to 4 inches.
The snow will taper off Sunday morning around 8 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. The rest of the day is predicted to be mostly cloudy with a high near 37. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 24.
Next week is predicted to be mostly clear, with the possibility of some scattered flurries on Wednesday. Monday will be sunny with a high around 41, and cloudy at night with a low near 34. Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high near 46.
