The high warning is also in effect for Litchfield, Hartford, Tolland, Windham, New Haven and Middlesex Counties.

Abnormally mild and dry weather will continue through the weekend as high pressure remains in control, the National Weather Service said. High temperatures Saturday will reach the mid to upper 70s under sunny skies. A similar day is in store for Sunday.

Nearly half of Connecticut is back in a "moderate drought," according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Rainfall is about 10 inches below normal.

If you have a permit from your town to burn brush on your property, the permit is not valid if the Forest Fire Danger is rated high and you are burning within 100 feet of a grassland or woodland.

Residents of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan and Stamford were asked this week to voluntarily reduce water usage by 10 percent due to low reservoir levels in those areas. Click here to read more about the water restrictions on Daily Voice.
