Metro-North plans to provide 75 percent of its regular train service from New Haven to New York City, 90 percent from South Norwalk to New York and 95 percent from Stamford to New York as crews continue to dig out the east end train yards, MTA Spokesperson Marjorie Anders announced in a press release.
Full service is available on the New Canaan and Danbury Branches, with Waterbury service still suspended. The Hudson and Harlem lines will continue to operate on a regular weekday schedule.
Anders told commuters to expect possible crowding and said they "should be aware that they may be train cancellations and combinations." She also offered some tips: "Customers are urged to use caution when entering and exiting trains, and on platforms and staircases and when traveling to and from station, allow for extra travel time."
Customers are urged to check schedule details online.
