Heat, Humidity To Increase Throughout The Week In Westport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- There will be barely a cloud in sight in Fairfield County over the next few days, as heat and humidity are expected to increase throughout the week, reaching its highest point on Thursday.

High pressure will continue to build over the next couple days. Tuesday will be sunny, with a west wind between 7 and 9 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Highs will range in the mid-70s to the lower 80s, with the coolest conditions along the south shores of the state. Lows Tuesday night will be in the lower to mid-50s, with some partly cloudy skies and calm winds.

Temperatures will stay up in the 80s on Wednesday, when the high is expected to be near 83. The day will also be sunny, with a southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Heat and humidity will reach its peak on Thursday, which is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high near 88. There will be a southwest wind of 6 to 10 mph. Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 67. 

Temperatures will still be high on Friday, where the high is expected to be 79. The day will be sunny, while the night will be mostly clear with a low around 54.

It could cool down a little bit this weekend, though the weather should still be pleasant. Saturday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high near 67, while Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 51. Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high near 66.
