"If you recall, we had the same thing occur at the beginning of last summer on the Memorial Day weekend," Rilling said.
Is this suppose to make us feel better about the situation because the same thing happened last year? Why wasn't police presence beefed up if there was the same issue last year? View Comment
Many people use this pier yet we are utilizing a grant of $1.423 million to re-do Oyster Shell Park where no one goes! Unbelievable! Why not apply for a grant to fix the Pier? View Comment
How about ticketing those cars that were allowed to park on beach road causing those exiting the beach to only utilize one lane! That was beyond ridiculous. Why isn't there a police officer actually directing traffic rather than just watching the traffic? There should be a police officer stationed right at the exit of the marina/ascension pools near the golf course. They should allow a few cars at a time from that parking area, then walkers, then cars exiting the beach. Instead it is up to drivers and walkers to figure it out. It's amazing someone doesn't get hit by a car. View Comment
No offense but I don't think this town was any cleaner three years ago when you had a $4 million dollar budget! I always pick up my trash and throw it away. Unfortunately, the garbage cans are not always emptied therefore the trash ends up on the ground anyway. View Comment
"Mike Mocciae is frustrated that this sign outside the Parks and Recreation Department isn't informing people"
How do you think the residents feel? You don't think we are frustrated? Imagine taking the time out of your day or lunch hour, fighting traffic, fighting for a parking space at City Hall to go inside and see this sign.
"At least 100 people a day come to City Hall for new stickers, Mocciae said, and it's not even the season yet." If 100 people are coming then however you communicated this information did not work.
