Hi Brian,
The calculations included $20 in supplies being spent over the four years in both option 1 and 2 and for option 2 it included a $25 case for the iPad as well. The full details of the report are posted on the school website here:

From the Shrewsbury League of Women Voters:
The Shrewsbury League of Women Voters does, in fact, have a banner reminding citizens to "Vote Tuesday," and contrary to the implications of this letter, that banner is scheduled to be put in place over the next 2-3 days by SELCO View Comment
Hi tedc,
Thanks for your comment. Although the hearing was not streamed live on the television it was recorded on a tripod camera by a Rye TV employee. In addition Rye resident Leon Sculti and representatives from the County also filmed Tuesday's hearing. Legislator Judy Myers said that a copy of the hearing filmed by the County will be sent to Albany. View Comment

Susan, this story was written immediately after police gave the initial press conference on this. It's based on what was known at the time. Immediately after writing this story, we did a followup based on what neighbors had to say. As time went on and more details came to light, we covered what the Chamberlain family and its lawyers said, what the notice of claim describes, neighbors' thoughts, and of course, the community gathering to send petitions for the release of audio and video.
You can read all of these followups here: http://www.thedailywhiteplains.com/tags/Kenneth-Chamberlain

Hi Francis- Thanks, as always, for your comments. In both articles, Koster says she believes an attorney should be appointed, but, as quoted in your comment, she said it would be inappropriate for her to represent DiBartolo as the town attorney. She said he should be represented as an employee of the town, but not by her. Does that clear things up? View Comment
Hi,
Yes, it is a three-person board. In the past, Westchester officials have agreed to have the county executive, the chair person of the board of legislators, and the commissioner of the department of public works and transportation (DPWT) on the board. I believe, the DPWT commissioner was included simply because that department oversees and enters so many contracts.
Now, the legislators say they've passed a law permanently removing the DPWT commissioner from the board and adding the budget director instead. The other two board members would be the same. The administration is saying legislators improperly passed the law. So the spat between the branches is about whether or not a valid law has removed the dpwt commissioner from the board and added the budget director instead. I hope that helps.
Thanks,

Hi,
I don't believe we ever received a letter from anyone about Kenneth Chamberlain. My email has been having issues with aol email addresses, so there could have been an issue there. If you would like to resubmit a letter to the editor, I would be happy to show it to my editor, who makes the ultimate decisions about what gets published. My email is strangle@mainstreetconnect.us. If you sent it to that address before and there was an issue, you can send it to my personal email at sarinatrangle@gmail.com

Hi Gusjay- This is a new feature we're starting where we post events going on throughout Yorktown for the week rather than just meetings. We have a community calendar that lists the upcoming events in town, and the mobile shredder has been included in that calendar (before this article was published.) We will post this list once a week, but please also know that events going on in Yorktown can also be found every day in our calendar, not just in this article on Mondays. If there are other events you think we have missed, or that you've heard of and want to see included I will be glad to put them on the calendar. My email is JSwift@TheDailyYorktown.com. View Comment
This is our dinner solution when we have 2 hours of dance at Hudson Dance and Tumble on Wednesdays. They even have wonderful gluten free options, give Peter special attention and serve customers like family. View Comment
