Actually I have the same dog bag problem with my dog and cleaning the cat litter. The answer is to stop outside of Darien. There are food stores and drug stores in Stamford and Norwalk. There is always the option of just not picking up after the dog. View Comment
The only problem is that this women will cost the town thousands in police cost. Don't get me wrong the police have to plan for the worst cast because this women said she could have thousands show up and you need to look at what happened in NY and Boston to know why the police had to be there.
From now on anyone taking out a permit in the park should put up the money to pay for extra police and clean up. This is hardly free, and if they are indeed interested in free speech they could sign up for the military and defend it. View Comment
Like a lot of the people in the occupy movement Margaret blames everything on everyone else. It all seems to be the fault of authority when they cannot cope. View Comment
Perhaps we should protest Mr. Strangler. I guess that is why Margaret planned her folly for the holidays, that way all the rich college students could be here for it. View Comment
I use the plastic bags at home to clean up animal litter. If I do not have these bags the animal leavings will be left where they are dropped by the animals. I see no reason to buy bags when we are not allowed to put our groceries in them in the first place. There are a lot of things left as litter, perhaps we should also ban cans and glass. Do you really think the streets will be cleaner if we leave droppings where they drip because we can't have plastic. View Comment
Who is paying for the overtime? I'm sure the super rich capitalists on Lakeside ave are real happy that their street may be closed for 2 days. Is Rague putting down any money to pay for repairs if too many people show up or do the tax payers get stuck with this bill like in NY or Boston? Just wondering. View Comment
"it's motivated by a desire for partisan advantage rather than the needs of the people." Aren't republicans in these other towns people to. Don't they have a right to be represented by who they want. There are other point of views out there, respect them. View Comment
There isn't going to be any dialogue. If someone is working on wall street they will be at work. IIf they are not then they just may be unemployed. Yes that happens here. Like others have said, vote if you want change. There is a presidential election coming up. If you want change vote, but ask questions don't just vote for hope and change without finding out exactly what change is going to look like. Get details and find out what politicians are thinking. Voting holds the real power to change things. View Comment
I did not invite them and I do not want to pay tax money to police them. Not my problem if this women wants to invite them here then let her pay. Since she live in Darien she must be rich so she can afford it by her own logic. If she believes in redistributing wealth then let her redistribute her wealth. View Comment
It will hurt local businesses because I for one will go to stores outside of Darien to do some of my shopping. BTW since I use plastic bags to pick up my dog droppings I take it that from now on it is more environmentally friendly to leave it where he drops it? I will if I cannot get plastic bags..
