Eleanor Martin, 94, Of Rhinebeck
RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Eleanor Martin, of Rhinebeck, died Nov. 19. She was 94.
Born Jan. 14, 1922, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Oliver) Ziehm.
She lived most of her life in the Hudson Valley. She loved her family, taking "girl trips" with her daughters, Hawaii and all things tropical, crafting, especially making greeting cards (until the week before she passed), cats, contrails, nature and having lattes every day with her daughter, Linda. She was a real character on many levels and will be cherished and missed forever and always.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Vera A. Lillis, of Poughkeepsie,, died Wednesday, Nov. 30. She was 64.
She was born Aug. 6, 1952, in Poughquag, the daughter of the late John Joseph and the late Anna Elizabeth (Swanson) Ryff.
She married William Lillis Aug. 3, 1974, in Rhinebeck; he predeceased her.
She worked at Vassar Brothers Medical Center as a nurse. She was a local resident all her life. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and the LPN program at Dutchess BOCES. She loved the beach, to read, travel and hiking.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Mary Jordan Gilbert, of Poughkeepsie, died Nov. 24. She was 92.
Born Dec. 5, 1924, in New Haven, Conn., she was the daughter of the late William Amos Jordan and Marion Porter Jordan.
She graduated from the Prospect Hill School in New Haven and Vassar College. Gilbert had an M.A. degree from Wesleyan University and did additional graduate work at Yale University.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Kenneth Charles Fleck, of Poughkeepsie, died Nov. 28. He was 51.
He was born Dec. 30, 1964, in Poughkeepsie, to the late Charles Duncan and Alvera Fleck. He was the proud owner of Black Cherry Tattoo in LaGrangeville and a local talented tattoo artist for more than 30 years. His art work can be found on skin worldwide.
He is survived by his wife, Leanne Zehnacker Fleck; children Nina Fleck, and Lacey Zehnacker; grandchildren, Cameron and Carter Bell; and siblings, Edwin Fleck, Steven “Wingnut” Fleck, and Alberta Fleck Satterlee.

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Frank Arnold Conforti, of Hyde Park, died Nov. 29. He was 89.
Born Feb. 3, 1927, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Michael and Carmela Tirelli Conforti and brother to Sue Szczypca (his twin sister), Michael, Anna Digilio and Carmela Elderkin.
He worked nights and weekends often accompanied by his sons Michael and Frank. His children remember family trips to the beach, playing board games in the evening and trips to the drive-in.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Eleanore M. Hayter, of Wappingers Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 30. She was 90.
She was born Aug. 17, 1926, in Bayonne, the daughter of Stephen and Anna Zelensik Dzamba.
She was a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital, serving in the critical care and progressive care units, retiring in 1991 after 25 years service. She volunteered at the Center for Lifetime Study at Marist College, the Randolph Smith school and the battered women program. Born in 1931, in West Hazelton, she lived in Clifton before moving to Franklin Lakes in 1961.
