WESTON, Conn. -- After a rainy night loss Monday broke its unbeaten streak, the Weston Super 8s came back in a big way, scoring six runs in the first inning and beating Fairfield, 10-4, at Bisceglie-Scribner Field.
Daniel Bello highlighted the hitting attack with a long double. Shutout pitching from Myles Lehrman, Nicholas Sacchetta and Dante Esposito preserved the victory. Strong playing on the mound, in the field and at the plate accounted for Andrew Castro's big night.
The Super 8s are now 7-1 heading into an afternoon match against Norwalk this Saturday at noon, again home at Bisceglie.
