WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples High School freshman Julia Schorr, a rower at Saugatuck Rowing Club, is among 10 finalists in the “Row to Rio” logo design competition organized by the U.S. Rowing Association.

The winning logo will be the official symbol of the “Row to Rio” campaign, which will support and promote the U.S. Olympic rowing team in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, according to the USRowing website.

The winning design will be featured on websites, team and fan gear, banners, boats and more.

More than 100 logos from across the country and Canada were received — 10 were selected as finalists. The logos are posted online, and the public is invited to vote for their favorite. Voting will be open through March 27.

The winning logo will be announced April 3. To vote, visit the Row to Rio contest page.
