WESTPORT, Conn. Staples High School senior Henry Wynne finished second and Luke McCambley, of Westport, finished third Thursday in the Pequot Runners 5-mile race in Fairfield.
The race began at the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club in Southport on a picture-perfect morning for running. Wynne cruised through the course in 26:09, while McCambley finished third in 26:11. Cameron Marantz, of Philadelphia, won the mens race in 25:25. Meredith Anand, of Easton, won the womens race.
Other top five finishers from Westport and Southport in their age groups included David Bates, first in 1-12 boys; Tom Harding, third in men 40-49; Joseph McCambley, first in men 50-59; Peter Brink and Salvatore Mulia, 1-2 in men 60-69; Zoe Hulina, fourth in girls ages 1-12; Caroline Koenig, first in girls 13-19; Blythe Lewis, third in girls 13-19; Catherine Galin, third in women 30-39; Melinda Schwartz, fifth in women 30-39; Laura Yaris, third in women 40-49; Dabney Mahoney, third, and Jen Lane, fourth, in women 50-59 and Andrea Katter, fifth in women 50-59.
There were 4,233 finishers in the race. Complete results are available online .
