The Westport Police Athletic League will hold a free clinic for coaches and athletes April 16 at Saugatuck Elementary School. The clinic will be run by Thurmond Moore, who has 28 years of coaching experience at the pro, college and high school levels.
The clinic runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Athletes ages 12 to 17 are required to arrive at 2 p.m. for check in with shorts, T-shirts, running shoes, cleats, water and desire. Moore has worked with several NFL players, including Pro Bowlers Dwight Freeney and Joey Porter. He will provide hands-on tackling techniques.
The clinic is free. It is provided by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Football University.
