Westport sixth-grader Ben Casparius won the 1-on-1 competition in the individual skills competition for Fairfield County Basketball League players. Casparius won the event Saturday at Darien High School. The league hosted competitions in 1-on-1 play, speed dribbling and free throw shooting as part of its season-ending championship weekend. Casparius also played for the Westport PAL team that won the A Division championship with a victory over New Canaan.
