Weston Wins State Diving Championships, Advances To State Open Contest

WESTON, Conn. -- Weston High School won the CIAS Class S State Diving Championships at Plainville High School on Wednesday.

Sophomore Liam Simmons took first place with a score of 425.15. Senior Lucas Billig was third with a score of 374.45.

Also scoring points for Weston were freshman Nikita Moffly in seventh place and junior Andrew Bell in 18th.

Both Simmons and Billig, who earned All State Honors for their performances, will advance to compete in the Connecticut State Open Diving Championship at Bulkeley High School on St. Patrick's Day, March 17.
