Weston Super 8s Step up to the Plate

WESTON, Conn. -- Fourteen Weston 8-year-olds are getting their first taste of travel baseball this month, representing their town as the Weston Super 8s in the District 1 Friendship League. With games against towns such as Wilton, Easton, Ridgefield, Norwalk and Darien, these Little Leaguers will, for the first time, be proudly wearing uniforms that simply say "Weston."

Coach Seve Esposito thinks his squad is good enough to go all the way, winning the Little League World Series in Williamsport.  And he's collecting their autographs now because he's convinced their value will skyrocket.

The Weston Super 8s hosted and won their first game, against Wilton on Wednesday, July 6.
