Weston Runners Place 4th at New York Meet

WESTON, Conn. – Noah Krassin finished ninth as the Weston boys cross country team finished fourth in the Varsity III race of the Brewster Bear Classic Saturday in New York.Krassin covered the 5k course in 18:06. Matt Proctor finished second for Weston in 18:41, followed by David Stankiewicz (18:44), Will Glaser (19:04) and Mike Aaron (19:39). Brewster won the race with 45 points, followed by Byram Hills (89), New Paltz (101) and Weston (105). There were 12 teams in Weston's division. The Trojans were the only Connecticut school."Even though we were missing some key guys, we were right in the mix of things,'' Weston coach Marty Ogden said.Weston's boys finished second behind Brewster in the Junior Varsity 1 Division. Alex Sydney (eighth), Connor Gorkin (16th) and Bailey Schweitzer (22nd) were Weston's top runners.
