Girls from Weston High School won the 4 x 200 and finished second in the sprint medley relay Saturday at the O'Grady Relays at Danbury High School.
The 4 x 200 team of Sarah Dietzman, Ellie Martin, Hannah Goodman and Callie Arlo clocked in at 1:48.13. The sprint medley team of Martin, Sydney Allon, Arlo and Kara Bucaro ran 4:17.14. Simsbury won in 4:16.27.
In field events, Chloe Shapiro cleared 4 feet, 10 inches, the third best jump of the day. Shapiro and teammates Tess Fagan and Emily Savage helped Weston take second in the event. Weston was also second in the pole vault with Kiki Litvak, Savage and Anfrea Janis. Litvak cleared 10 feet, 6 inches for the third best jump of the day. Savage (10 feet, 0 inches) was fourth. Janis (14 feet, 9 ¾ inches) had the fourth best effort in the long jump.
Weston's girls finished fourth overall behind Danbury, Simsbury and Darien. The distance medley team (11th overall) was the top unit in the Small Schools division. The 4 x 100 relay (seventh overall) also led the Small Schools field.
Weston's boys finished fifth overall. The Trojans won the 4 x 400 relay and were fourth in the 4 x 800 relay, and Stephen Vento grabbed second in the steeplechase.
