Weston Girls Lose 2nd Game, 52-41

Notre Dame of Fairfield outscored Weston High School 28-16 in the second half en route to a 52-41 victory in a South-West Conference girls basketball game Friday. It was just the second loss of the season for Weston (11-2), which was playing its first game without Christina Welsh . The state leader in steals was lost for the season with a knee injury suffered in Tuesday's win over New Fairfield.

Ellie Martin had another strong game for the Trojans, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Anna Mahoney added eight points, while Hannah Hutchins had seven and Dakota Sloop had six.

Weston, now 8-2 in the SWC, travels to Lauralton Hall on Tuesday. Hall is 7-0 in SWC games.
