Fans who can’t make the trip to Williamsport, Pa., can watch with friends in town at several locations. The Westport Little League website said there will be watch parties at:
- Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.
- 323 Restaurant, 323 Main St.
- Black Duck, 605 Riverside
- The Brewhouse, 13 Marshall St., South Norwalk
- Colony Grill, 1520 Post Road
- Shake Shack, 1849 Post Road E.
- Viva Zapata, 530 Riverside
Fans who are interested in traveling to Williamsport can also find ride shares on the league website.
Westport is 18-0 this summer and playing in the Little League World Series for the first time in the history of the program.
State Sen. Toni Boucher (R-Wilton), who represents Westport, was among those congratulating the All-Stars on their World Series appearance.
"I hope you will join me in congratulating the extraordinary accomplishments of the Westport Little League All-Stars,’’ Boucher said. “We are all very proud of them. My family and I have been following them on TV with great pride and enthusiasm. They will be playing in the little league world series opener this week in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I wish them well and will be hoping for a win!"
