WESTPORT, Conn. – Some of the best rugby players in the world are coming to Westport. Team USA will play Team Canada in the second game of the Colonial Cup at Staples High School at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Team USA won the first match of the third annual Colonial Cup series, 28-24, played in Toronto back on Sept. 8.

Gates open at 1 p.m. and pre-game entertainment will include a match between local rugby teams. Admission is $5 for adults. Kids under 18 years old will be admitted for free.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Helen Varaljay of Fairfield died Sunday, June 16. She was 98.

Varaljay was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Manhattan, daughter of Helen and Joseph Eros. She graduated from Julia Richman High School. After she married in 1939, she moved to Connecticut, first to Black Rock, then Westport, before settling in Fairfield in 1955.
