WESTPORT, Conn. – The Staples High School football team continued its winning streak Friday night, defeating the Trumbull High School Eagles, 57-14. This was the Wreckers fifth win in a row.

The game was also the Wreckers third annual Get Your Pink On breast cancer awareness event and fundraiser. Many attendees wore pink, special pink logo wear was available for purchase and the players sported pink receiving gloves.

Proceeds from the merchandise sales will be donated to Pink Aid, a local nonprofit that funds breast cancer support services for local women who are uninsured or underinsured.

Next Saturday, the Wreckers travel to Darien High School to take on the Blue Wave. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
