Staples Sends Student-Athletes To Harvard, New Hampshire

WESTPORT, Conn. — Two standout athletes at Staples in Westport made their college plans officials in a ceremony Wednesday at the high school, the Westport-News said.

Football offensive lineman Jackson Ward is headed to Harvard, and field hockey midfielder Jordan Ragland will attend the University of New Hampshire, the News said. Both seniors will head to college this fall. 

Ward is the first football player from Staples to go to Harvard, which has won three out of the last four Ivy League championships, the News said.

Ragland was the only member of her team to be named first team All-FCIAC, the News said.
