WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples wide receiver James Frusciante is the only Connecticut player named to the third annual MSG Varsity All-Metro area football team. The team was announced on Tuesday.
It is made up of 26 standout high school football players from the tri-state area; the team is selected by MSG Varsity and The National Football Foundation.
Teammate Kyle Vaughn was named to the second team, along with Noel Thomas of St. Luke’s in New Canaan.
Frusciante had 45 receptions and 14 touchdowns to help Staples post a 10-1 record and win the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship on Thanksgiving Day.
