The Staples boys tennis team continues to smash the competition. The Wreckers improved to 11-0 on Tuesday with a 7-0 sweep of Weston.
Danny Hirschberg started things off with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cameron Hagen at No. 1 singles. Graham Hyman, Jake Hirschberg and Jesse Heussner followed with singles victories. Jake Hirschberg won a three-set thriller, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4, over Oscar Morris.
Baxter Stein and Evan Davis teamed up for a win at first doubles. Luke Foreman and Steve Thompson won at No. 2, and Jehangir Hafiz and Josh Kaseff won at No. 3.
The victory came on the heels of a win Monday over Norwalk and a 4-3 decision over Greenwich on Friday. Staples and New Canaan are the only remaining undefeated teams in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference. Staples looks to extend its winning streak Thursday against Darien.
