NORWALK, Conn. – The new Y Gymnastics Center in Norwalk offers children of all ages and abilities the chance to be active while having fun, meet new friends and develop their gymnastics skills.

Opened in June as part of a collaborative effort by the Westport Weston Family Y, Wilton Family Y and Norwalk YMCA, the Y Gymnastics Center occupies a specially designed 6,500 square foot space at 145 Main St. in Norwalk.

To take part in the Y Gymnastics Center’s Fall Session programs, participants must be members of the Westport Weston Family Y or, if a resident of Norwalk, the Norwalk YMCA.

Other activities, such as Toddler Adventure Open Gym and our Gymnastics Camps and Clinics are open to all.

The Fall Session begins the week of Sept. 8 and runs through mid-December. Visit www.westporty.org for class schedules and fees and to join the Y or register for any of the following.

To register, be evaluated or just visit the Center, contact Gymnastics Director Sally Silverstein at 203-857-1139 or silverstein@westporty.org.

There is no YMCA of Norwalk to be a member of anymore, so how can a Norwalk resident join the gymnastics studio?

Sounds to me like you have to be a member of the YMCA of Westport, which a Norwalker would have to pay for an out of town membership, to use the place in Norwalk. Sound practical.
